The YC Lab (Computational and System Biology Laboratory) was founded in 2003 as a member of the Biological Science and Technology Department at the China Medical University (Taiwan). The lab focuses on integrating computational technology into drug discovery. We use both structure-based and ligand-based technology to design new anti-influenza compounds, anti-cancer compounds and new soporific compounds.
Currently, we are working with Dr. Jianzhu Chen of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and research groups at Harvard University to develop new anti-influenza compound. Other ongoing projects include developing a novel scoring function for analyzing protein-ligand interaction, designing a novel algorithm for predicting protein ligand-binding sites (in collaboration with at Structural Bioinformatics Lab at Boston University) and building a traditional Chinese medicine virtual screening system.
